Privacy

Last updated 17 October 2026

The short version: your account and everything in it belong to you. We keep only what 1onE needs to work, we never sell it, we never use it for ads, and you can delete it all whenever you like.

Who we are

1onE is made by BuildON Inc (buildonhq.org). Questions about privacy go to hello@get1one.app.

What we keep

We don't use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. The app stores your sign-in on your own device so you stay signed in.

How the AI sees your messages

To answer you, 1onE sends your message, recent chat and the relevant notes from your memory to an AI model through OpenRouter. Before sending, 1onE strips secrets such as API keys and private keys from everything, and removes email addresses, phone numbers and long account-style numbers from the saved notes it adds for context. What you type yourself is sent as you wrote it, so don't paste passwords or card numbers into a chat. We ask OpenRouter to use only model hosts that don't store or train on what you send.

The 1onE app for Mac can also run its AI completely on your own computer, so nothing leaves it.

Who helps us run 1onE

They only get what they need to do that job. We don't sell or rent your information to anyone.

Your choices

Security

Everything travels over encrypted connections. Passwords are hashed with scrypt, sign-in tokens are stored only in hashed form, and repeated wrong passwords are blocked for a while. No system is perfect; if something goes wrong that affects you, we'll tell you.

Children

1onE isn't meant for children under 13, or under the minimum age for online services where you live. If you think a child has made an account, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this page in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app or by email.
